eSIM Activation
How to activate your eSim.
Activating your eSIM plan on iPhone

- 
Open the app: Settings
 
- 
Go to the tab: Cellular Network
 

Tap: Add eSIM

- 
Press: Use a QR code
 

- 
Scan the QR code displayed by the operator or enter the manual activation code.
 
- 
Follow the steps requested below
 - Once your eSIM is installed, you should see it appear in your SIM cards (under CELLULAR NETWORKS ) under a name that may vary depending on your device ( Professional, Secondary, Cellular Data , etc.). You can rename your eSIM as you wish.
 - Just before your departure, select ' No ' for your primary SIM. Once you arrive at your destination, select ' Yes ' for your destination eSIM.

Restart your phone to help detect the new network
 
Activation via manual code:
- 
Enter your provided manual activation code.
 
- 
In the field sm-dp address , enter consumer.e-sim.global
 
- 
Follow the steps
 
What to do if you get an error message when installing your eSIM?
Error message: '' Unable to add eSIM''
This message may appear on some devices. Usually, your eSIM has been installed correctly. Your phone just can't activate it because you're not in the network coverage area of your destination. Please check if your eSIM is installed correctly. If so, disregard this message.
Error message '' eSIM not compatible with your device ''
If you get this error message during setup, it's likely that your device is locked by your carrier. This can happen on some newer devices that may be locked for a certain period of time after purchase. Please contact your carrier to have it unlocked.
REMINDER
For your eSIM to work, your data abroad must be ACTIVATED.

Activating your eSIM plan on Android

- 
Open Settings
 
- 
Select Connection or Networks and Internet
 

- 
Select SIM Manager or SIM Cards
 

- 
Select Add eSIM
 
 
- 
Scan the QR code or enter the manual activation code
 
- 
Follow the steps requested below
 
- 
Make sure your primary SIM card is deactivated (if you are already at your destination)
 

APN configuration for ANDROID only:
eSIMs on ANDROID may require an APN configuration so that your phone knows which network to connect to. Here are the steps:
- 
Go to Settings - Connection - Mobile networks
 
- 
Make sure that ROAMING is activated
 

- 
Go to ACCESS POINT NAMES and click on + at the top right
 


- 
In NAME , enter the name of your destination country (this data is not important but cannot be left blank )
 
- 
In APN , enter globaldata without punctuation or anything else
 
- 
No data should be entered in the other fields.
 

- 
Click on the three dots at the top right and click on Save
 

- 
Go back and select the new network globaldata
 
- 
Restart your phone
 
- 
Your connection to the new network will be established within the next 15 to 30 minutes
 
REMINDER
For your eSIM to work, roaming must be ENABLED.
